Our Kennedy to date: Kennedy link
Today we removed the outback kit: "Kenny" looks like a little Kennedy, not doing the gravel roads. Now looking for a Fiberglass box for tools & a spare wheel carrier.

That's one very special van mate ( just checked out all your photos....what a labour of love....and the result must be pretty pleasing to you ). Love it ...might also have something to do with me sharing it's last name !!!! Cheers - Steve.

Is there photos somewhere of the Kennedys rebuild ? Here Kennedy link
No reflectors fitted front/side/rear should this have been noted in the roadworthy?
Bambang: Yet to speak with the builder, he works in the Air Force, frame looks "aircraft" quality.

Kenny deserves a Kenny shaped/ inspired box that includes the gas (vented) and spare wheel, that can be easily grabbed from the outside. Off to bunnings & grab a few big cardboard boxes and a stack of news papers to do paper mache for the curves! wash out paper/ cardboard when frp has set.

I have bought a cargo box today, just big enough for the wheel ramps, stabilizer boards, bty drill, ropes & pegs etc Looks OK, I may disguise it a bit? paint it black? remove side handles. Moved the jockey wheel forward to accommodate, just misses everything.

PS: Its going to be a task to mount the spare wheel this way? Cant go the other way due to the tool box lid opening.

hmm dissapointed much (lolz) ... but a much faster result. I ended up remembering some heavy duty steel drawers with runners, so i am inspired to make a slide cartridge spare wheel carrier now.

atog can give you tips on how to create with fibre glass, he has done some fantastic thing in the past. I take it the cargo box is not a "knockout" I have gone from everything square to everything rounded. In my past life I have made Kayaks & glassed the hatches in Vincent, this box is intended to be a base, just not sure how to soften it yet? Thanks for the tip to contact ATOG.

Had an interesting day with water. Mainly fixing under the sink leaks. Also fitted a two way tap, can pump from mains or pump from the tank back to the tap outlet. BEFORE: AFTER: The van has been fitted with plumbing fixtures that click into place (smartex). You can take it apart, & reuse. (Green shed)

Hi Kimbo I'm almost over the tool box unless a nice rounded style comes along. So now I have space to do a bolt up (that can be removed.) The images don't show how low the Kenny really is & I thinkthe wheel would be getting scrapped into servos etc.

I obviously read this forum with my eyes closed sometimes...from what I gather you just spend a reasonable amount of time restoring your Viscount yourself, while at the same time someone else fully renovates as Kennedy, which you then purchase...so now you have 2 vans to play with?!?! Good looking van! Good luck with getting the storage box looking 'right' )

Hi mustang Was reading about your spare wheel ,on our viscount it is under the front of the drawbar easy to get off and out of the way maybe a thought for you Kimbo Kimbo when i fitted my spare within the A frame ( pic in my franklin thread) many said i would need to jack up the bar to get it out. if a tyre was flat. Not an issue really with my always on the spot trolley jack, but that fateful first time on a wet night at 2am i was rather pleased unbolted spare slid out under the drawbar without issue, when the drivers side caravan wheel needed a swap over, ( the tube valve had chewed out - note 32psi obs too low for tyre )

We have been busy polishing & tidying, appears the windows were left in their original state during the re-build, we decided they needed "bling" Original frame image dull & scratched ..the image is flattering. Frames polished: This frame was screwed permanently closed, now polished & operational. Pole carrier has been painted black with S/S fittings added both ends. Tow hitch tidied up with new paint. Now only 4 windows to polish.

Today we had a dose of Silly-cone, Took 1.5 hours to remove this little porthole ready for re-polishing. Very happy with the cavity where the serving hatch was when this was a burger van, replaced with 10mm timber & fiberglass, then foam filling, then ply lining, then padded vinyl on the inside:
