Might have to cut abit off the top of the drawer. Sticks out abit too far I reckon. Didn't wanna have to cut it, as melamine chips very easily...... Pretty happy with it all though. Has anyone got any tips for cutting this stuff ? I did flip it over to cut, which did help (used circular saw)

When things are a bit delicate I've had success clamping scrap wood either side and cutting through the whole lot

You going to refit the bunks or do something different there? (I've put the ensuite here on mine).

Hi Snoops. Gonna keep the bunks. What a job, getting it all out ! The rear end was a heap easier....

Got abit of framework to replace. Just hope I can get the screws to 'bite in' when I go to screw new frame back into the walls.

This was bugging me as to how I was gonna fix the dented upper section. I was able to pop it back into place from inside, but knew it would only cave in, with the first head wind. I've cut out 4 of these and will screw them in to place. MDF, so it nice and light, but should keep it all in place......Hopefully.....

I marked where all the frame members were located in chalk or pencil, transferred these lines to the walls & floor. Amazing how often they were refered to when "filling" back in.

Hi Mustang. I've been doing the same thing also. I've got pencil lines running in all directions, because I know as soon as the ply is put in place I will be flying blind where the frame work is....

Top section is solid as, now. Can't even spot the dent from the front now. I'm rapt

Awesome video Tasmillard. Great looking van !!!! Was hoping to get the upper ply section done today, but everything took longer than I'd hoped !! (One of those days). Definitely a lot more work sorting out the front, than the rear... I'm was pretty paranoid about the bunk frame, as i reckon there wasn't enough 'meat' in the frame for growing teenage kids. Plenty in in now though, lol

Hi Mustang. The bunks have 3 plastic butt hinges. I will grab a few 100x100x75 steel butt hinges from work. Definitely a better idea to use piano hinge, but unfortunately the bunks are only supported from the ends.

Yes thats how they are, even my Millard is supported by two poles at the ends and two door hinges against the wall.

Hi Gitano. Thanks for that. I'm pretty happy with the way it's coming together so far. It's amazing how far the ply can bend ! I thought for sure it was gonna breaking two........ps - I've been keeping an eye on your progress too. You've got a very nice base to work from... The rear ply was easier than the front I found. You will need to attach rear ply at the top first (just under the window). Bit tricky as it was originally fitted before cladding went on it seems, as it was tacked from behind. I screwed a length of wood to top of ply first. I then screwed the ply section to the wood beam just under the window. I might go and take a pic for you now. Easier to see it than describe it
