Hi everyone my first post so I'm not sure how it all works, but my partner and I have a 76 or 77 Franklin arrow. 16ft we are trying to get to get a bit more info about Gvms and etc but can't seem to find info to re-register the van. Can anyone help? Thanks! Number on the draw bar is 5910-1 if that means anything. To gain the info you need, if you are going to renovate or improve, start a new thread in "Hall of fame", posting here you are basically tacking on an other members thread.

Hey guys, strong winds in Melbourne have ripped my caravan cover apart. Didn't fit well anyhow. Can anyone recommend a cover that fits these 16" Arrows well? thanks.

I also have been looking at covers, mainly for the sun. From what I have seen most quality covers in this size are about $250/350. Try: Caravan Covers

Thanks Mustang! I'll check them out. Definitely worth spending a bit extra. The one I had bought via eBay has only lasted 1.5 years so at $120 ROI is pretty low.
The van is going well, done some regular trips here and there and everything just works. I'm still convinced the Frankies are a great classic van and certainly have been built to last.just glad a spent the time relsealing Windows and the all seasons hatch.

The number will be on the draw bar side, most likely welded on.

My 77 Franklin has the serial number with letters and numbers welded on the draw bar plus on the top of it the serial number on stamped letters and numbers. Chances are that the serial number in yours is covered with paint.

If all else fails talk to the person who does blue slips he or she will be able to explain what you need to do to get a number so you can get it registered.

In Vic, it's pretty easy to get a new chassis number to stamp into it from Vicroads that will allow you to get it registered. Not sure on other states. You only need proof of purchase - that can be showing an old rego number, or any number that you can find (or make) in the van.
