Hi Ted, I have a redarc brake controller you can have for postage cost. I bought it new but it was a little jerky on our Nautilus, may be OK on a van?

I dont know the model, there are three models, ours is the middle one, supplier suggested the top grade would do no more, than the medium model. The modern weighs in at around 2000kg, you can hardly feel any braking activity.
I cant get the same response out of the Viscount with the hand controller, despite all new brake assembly (can lock up the modern) I,ll bring the pads up closer to the drum.

Hi all.
Just got back from being on the road and planning on going out again next weekend.
I worked out that we have been out in our van 5 times last year. I think that I really need to stop and finish the little fiddly bits....... OH well they will eventually get done.

We spent 28 nights in our van last year and I only registered it in March. I've got a lot more than fiddly bits to do, but I'm having too much fun using it... Towed it over 5,000KM.

Hi Ted,
I have read through your story, great job! It is giving me some hope that my resto may be finished one day. I am currently restoring a 12ft franklin regent a very similar construction to yours (originally). I am going to put in curved end struts to strengthen the front and back of the van. I was thinking of using 30mm plywood, what did you used for yours?
Also how did you fix them to the side walls?
Thanks, Tom
