Hi all,
New memeber here - we purchased a Chesney pacemaker II
and would like to find out if anyone knows of when this was made please?? There was no info on draw bar and it was unregistered when we got it - would really like some history about this caravan as we love it

There are a couple of Chesney threads about that i have seen. did you try a search in the top right hand corner?
Looking forward to pics any thoughts as to repairs or mods? The amount of help here from everyone is amazing

The Chesney Pacemaker II model was built during the 1976/77 time period. Chesney first built a 'Pacemaker' model during 1969/70, but this model was then replaced by different model names during the years after that. Chesney must have decided that the name 'Pacemaker' was worth a re-run in the later 1970s, however the extra numbering of II (ie. Series 2) had to be added to distinguish these later vans from the earlier series.
Unfortunately, we don't have any examples on the forum of the Pacemaker II vans. We had a forum member a few years ago who had a 1977 Pacemaker II van, but the info he posted seems to have disappeared (he must have deleted his account). The Chesney factory closed down in 1978, so examples of Chesney vans from the later 1970s are apparently a bit rare.

Hi! I just joined this group! I have a Chesney Pacemaker 2, and it’s a 1978. Chesney were a QLD manufacturer who closed down in 1980. I’d love to see some photos of what the inside of these looked like originally, as mine had obtained a lot of mods when I purchased it, then I made a lot of new changes, and it’s once again being overhauled as we speak.
