Can anyone help with this windout mechanisim for out hatch: As you can see the plastic has broken. I have tried to 'Weld' the plastic but didn't work so I really need to get a replacemnt. Been looking but can't find one any help is appreciated.

As Al has suggested...outside the square... could the plastic part be re-produced by an aluminium tube welded to a plate?

I reckon you might be on track there Brent my engineering shop mate could knock that up but cost may not be good some steel/alloy tubing and a plate then get the lot powder coated after making sure it all worked and it would be hard to pick Steel would be easier for an amatuer job

Well looks like I may have fixed the winder. I glued a metal backing to the plastic to give strength then glued the parts together then glued and screwed the whole mechanisim together with the metal strapping. Time will tell: I attached it to the table so that it dried correctly.

Well we are almost finished this beautiful van. Painted the inside and out. I used a new paint and it worked like a charm. 2 Pack. Bit of getting used to though. But I will be using it from now on. We still have a few curtains to make and a couple of small jobs to finish. Then to work on the 23 footer.....but that's another story... Painted the walls and light green/white The stripe colour worked out just fine. Nice and mild Putting brown curtains up Bunks

Hi Steve, Great progress there, looking very neat, some nice caps & trims on your wheels to finish off. Better move it from that pine tree limb that's touching or you will be full of ants.
