Thanks for all the advice everybody. I finally resealed all my windows back in the van with Mastic what an awesome job to do. Very neat and clean no mess lol. Its now time to put back on my exterior mouldings J moulds etc. I was thinking of using Mastic for this also ir should I use sikaflex?

I'd go white roof and gutter silicon on the J moulds. It doesn't matter if you destroy them getting them off as the mouldings themselves aren't expensive to buy by the meter.... and silicon seems to be a lifetime 100% water tight repair if done correctly But, that is just my opinion seeya, Sahne L.

Hi Sahne I had every intention on using silicone originally. But aftee I waterproofed all windows and doors with Mastic and seeing how neat and clean but at the same time watching it ooze out as I tensioned the screws down, I am thinking twice. Now im Torn. Lol. Desicions to make

I went to mastic over sikaflex 291 only because I wanted to be able to remove the components in future. However, that said, the sika will last many decades without failing like the mastic will and hence the work will need re-doing in future. So my Millard was all done in sika, now the Viscount will all be done in mastic.
Cheers,

I actually started sealing it today with Slika 👍 I have found silicon is far easier to trowel and finish than the polyurethane (sikaflex) type sealers. They should all do the same job though seeya, Shane L.

Keep a bottle of metho handy when using PU and its all good. I like PU over silicone as you can paint it if the finish doesn't blend well with the existing paints, etc - just whack a coat over the whole lot... Dodgy - me???

I keep another kind of bottle of "metho" handy when work under Tasmanian weather With Sika mineral turps work very well.
