This is great mate, good to see all that hard work has paid off for you to enjoy the outings. I can say that one is really never prepared, theres always something forgotten, or stuff brought that isnt needed. The only way to find out is to do a road trip All the best with it, safe travels and enjoy. Look forward to your trip posts too!

I have pic's just not down loaded yet only just have most stuff sorted. The first day with the wind and still a little too much weight on front sorted that moved tent poles to rear witch got the ball weight from 190kg's to 160kg's.after that it was a pleasure to tow My weight distribution hitch won't fit due to being too low to ground but with-out high wind at 90kmph I can't fault. it.Also the only mechanical hick-up when leaving was the brakes the handbrake seams to have tightened itself as we got a short distance from home and needed to put air in van tyres did the check and they were hot so I backed off hand brake and the brakes worked perfect all the way. Next trip there will be a lot of stuff left behind. having a ball off to Remarkable Rocks and a water fall tomorrow after the farmers markets. will try to get pic's up tomorrow.

Nice going, great its working out well for you. Funny with the brakes, I had the same issue on both the Millard and Viscount where I needed to back off the adjuster nut as it was riding the brakes too. Look forward to pics

Seems the older handbrake cables need to be loose, to stop the wobble in the cable (while travelling) from leavering the brakes on. I also run the pads a lot further from the drum than I would with our past modern.

when I put it together cable was loose and adjustment backed off until just stopped touching took it on a 8km run to get it registered no problem but at time of rego the electric brakes weren't working as no brake controller so what I think happened with the electric brakes working every-thing was able to be pushed to its ride position thus every-thing tightened up I had every intention of keeping a check on it but lucky for me it needed air in tyres or it would have gone another 20km's before I checked . Since the handbrake was readjusted the brakes have worked perfectly not to hot but you can feel them working.

I didn't realize It has been a long time since I posted here So I am at Blacksmith's beach nsw Last two weeks I have been here Monday to Friday and back to sydney for work Saturday and Sunday getting boat sorted now a job I got done and didn't post was the fans for the fridge are in and work only manually at the moment but looking for a decent thermal switch each time we use the van it gets better though today before I leave I have to fix a plastic drain pipe the glue has done well considering it is designed for static pipes not ones bouncing around so here are a few pics have fun. 20180430_125249 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2888 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2889 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2889 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2890 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2891 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2891 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2892 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2887 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr DSCN2886 by Bruce Brown, on Flickr Forgot we now have a radio aerial.

I haven't had time to do anything to the van I have been busy on boat and house. The little boat got swamped so now have started to do repairs on an old half cabin I have owned for years. will post photos when I get the stuff I have pulled out of it back in. It runs a 1966 model 100hp Evinrude outboard motor and boat is a coopercraft probably early 80's

Just booked the next outing this time the girls are going for the first week and I will be there for the first week end with them since I have the half cabin I will be able to take them onto the lake. so back to getting the few things done in the van like reading lights for the bunks and getting boat finished. I have got the f350 running much better changed the four barrel carb for a two barrel 320cfm holley. It has now found a ton of power and using a ton less fuel doing it.

Booked into Swansea for mid October so now the urgency to get things done starts van is re-registered rego is going down here for vans in Sep so just put 3 months on it hoping to catch the lower price but not holding my breath as it is government and they want as much as they can get.next Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be full on I want to get the motor for boat serviced new plugs points and impeller. It runs well for a 52 year old motor The lucky thing for me in its early life it was well looked after and the one that owned it before me used it for going outside so he also looked after it ontill the time he was outside and the distributor cap developed a crack and he decided it was time to upgrade.

Well been a while since I have done any thing major to van . So to make it easier on us when we travel and so don't have to rely on mains electricity I have installed a diesel heater. It is 11 degs outside I have it set on its lowest setting and it is 24 degs inside a big plus is it is quiet the other heater was a portable reverse cycle air-con very noisy and heavy around 45kgs the diesel heater is 17kgs with a full tank of fuel and I have a small just cooling air-conditioner for summer that weighs approximately 15kgs and a generator if needed that will run it though thinking of going inverter generator and as all lights are led tv is 12volt fridge is 3way and we have a portable gas stove that we use for cooking we won't need a big generator .Will get picks up as soon as I get to time to sort flickr out have fun

Gidday 78466noM Sounds like you need to move somewhere warmer.
I fitted a diesel heater into my 'box' love it. Get the inside warm real quick and it seems to be easy on the fuel consumption.

Yep, love my diesel heater - it gets a work out down here in the Winter. I must say I wouldn’t even turn it on at 11 degrees but I get where you’re coming from. 😁
When it’s around zero outside mine will keep the van at around 17 degrees at around half way. That’s as warm as I’ve ever found I need a van.

on the lowest setting here 4deg's outside give it about half an hour it will sit between 20 and 23deg but mine is much smaller than yours snoops walls floor ans ceiling insulated helps as well. and saves a ton of weight now the big aircon has gone inside the house . As soon as this place is sold I will be able to use it for seeing places . Living in it getting the house ready has shown it is comfortable .
