That was how they came I saw the same design on ebay for just under $70 each these are just under $30 at super cheap the black trim is the same trim you have around the doors of the mustang holding the trim in but it is very good at gripping the gas bottle. But I will still put a chain on it when parked .

A while back I posted about new regs, re gas carriers having to have a liner between the bottles & the carrier, I guess this is the new norm.

The jockey wheel I Had to cut from bracket and re weld as it sat the van too high for hooking up in my driveway not finished yet but did find blow up tyres are no good and have replaced with two hard tyred wheels that seem to work so far I do have a back up spare hard tyre just in case. Gas man has just been and is coming Sat morning to do job not cheap but in the long run will pay for itself being able to free camp without running a generator flat strap to run fridge so as costs go about a dollar or so an hour to run a 240v generator big enough to run fridge so about 16 days free camping with out the generator will pay for it and a big plus is not annoying people around us as those big heavy generators can be very noisy not to mention how to carry the generator as even if it fits in caravan door it is 60 to 80kg's of unwanted weight.I won't suggest the wife lifts it into the territory as I have to go to bed at some stage.

A while back I posted about new regs, re gas carriers having to have a liner between the bottles & the carrier, I guess this is the new norm. Thanks for the reminder!! I will need to check this as I still have the old setup so best look at doing this in the near future. There's ALWAYS something to do with these old vans heres your thread link Mustang to cross reference

The gas man has been and fridge is working that flue does expel a lot of heat to the outside but the size of the fridge make it a legal requirement so even if it didn't do much it has to be there.after fifteen minutes freezer was very cold so I didn't break anything pulling door off it and squeezing it into van.

I got the hood over top of fridge and framework for fridge complete insulation and ply on sides and fridge is all finished. With the heat and the rain and me leaning on roof when I painted it with the sealer paint it has sprung a leak I know where it is the roof has a few dents along top edge the others are not right on edge except One on the drivers side so the gap is too great for the mastic to keep it filled so to fix it I am going to make a plate out of aluminum sheet use 3mm flat to reinforce fill with mastic pop rivet down then clean that way the mastic will only have small gaps around edges and I will know all of the patch is sealed. not happy but would be much more unhappy if it started to leak after the cupboards where in as it may have been a long time after it started leaking before I found it being hidden behind cupboards and splash-back. Will put up pics when I get a chance.

It has made the fridge much more solid to the floor Before it had the frame build around it it had about 2 to 3mm movement when pushed hard now it is solid so much happier with the end result I have the thermostat switch to turn the fans on and off at set temps just have to get fans and mount them.

Great job on the flue. They need heat to operate, but also it needs to vent quickly. Good idea with the thermostat switch.

It has been poring rain here the last two days I have put a new jockey wheel on and was able to level van up and the one leak stopped so being up at the front must let the water pool to the hole and level it runs off before it reaches the hole. So when rain stops I can fix it so it can't leak and will also do the other dents just to be safe but for now no more water inside gives me some time to do it.spent two days getting car ready for rego as it goes what could go wrong would had a manifold flange leak donut gaskets $60 each another $70 odd nuts etc and one stud as some one did it up with a rattle gun with the gasket twisted stripped the stud and buggered the gasket undoing stud it broke in the manifold lucky enough to get a drill in center damaged a little bit of the tread but it is in now and no exhaust leaks.sounds good again now not like a older ford V8 the quad cam has a sound of its own

Something that has intrigued me for a while is the height of the top bunk? from your images it appears quite high? not picking just thinking???

It is at original height but the bottom bunk is lower than original and the rails also make it look much higher as I put the aluminum angle in exactly the same spot as the timber that was originally there I pop riveted it on before I put the wall cladding on just cut a slot in ply to fit over it. this allows a adult to sit on bottom bunk as a seat if needed.

Question, is there any reason you havent laid the flooring before the furniture? Just interested to know

The wife picked a laminate floor the less there is the lighter it is also if it doesn't work as well as I hope it is much easier to remove. whole van about 70kgs and a bastard to remove if doesn't work a hammer and chisel and days of work or remove furniture. what I am going to lay less than 20kgs if doesn't work easy to remove nothing under furniture to worry about. I know it is going to take me longer to lay it but would rather that than the alternative as I'm not sure it is going to work but it may prove successful and I win both ways.
