Great to see you on the road in your very shiny van. We now have the habit of a "walk around" to check windows, hatches, lights etc.
Spotted an aging Viscount being towed with the front stone protector in the raised position, so your hatch mis-endevour is acceptable.

We now have the habit of a "walk around" to check windows, hatches, lights etc. We have a list typed up and laminated, it's stuck to the wall just inside the door. Things to Check close hatch close front awning push in step lock windows stack fridge items securely wheel chocks collect hose fitting etc etc All up there are probably 10-12 items on the list, so far its worked really well. Leyburn Historic & not so Historic Sprints.Leyburn is a tiny town south of Toowoomba where the first Australian Grand Prix was held nearby in 1949, this year an MG that was entered in the 1949 event made an appearance at Leyburn. The town pushes most of the funds towards their very tidy state school, a fun weekend. Lots of hippies around LeyburnYou can tell they are hippies by their old cars !!!A Pontiac !!!The MG that raced in 1949,Some expensive outfits,Some not so expensive outfits,If you dropped an engine ? Steptoe & Son were at hand The vans & flags were good toPresentations got a laughI think these shots were late in the afternoon Sir Richard helicoptered in,There was also a Spitfire on WHEELS !!!Tight racing was the order of the weekend with the course set very close to the bales,After two days of showing vans, watching racing, talking, drinking, Phew!!!!!!!!!!! thank you to the organizers. Cheers

Hate to say what was spent on this car $$$$$$$$$$$$$ The winning van combo "Marilyn" Jellybean & the amazing 55, A very nice FC with a tidy bondy, Vincent was in good company, Both these cars were winners of categories. Lots & Lots of visitors to the vans, happy memories for most.

Scarness Beachfront Caravan Park, Hervey Bay, Qld. - Nov 2017(Shakedown run before going away for 2 weeks at Christmas.) Roadside stop in Hervey Bay - bit early to book into the park so waited here. Van set up on a drive through beach front site Our view of the beach - that's looking directly North - confuses the senses no end. Morning tea stop near Woolooga (on the way home)

I've started to ready ours for Christmas Back to Wallaroo SA to enjoy some sun and a few beers Another fantastic stay at Wallaroo, anyone looking for a good destination north of Adelaide should consider. Stayed a few nights at Cape Jaffa on the way home. Enjoyed a veeeery relaxing stay in a small, quiet caravan park across the road from the beach. A good place to consider for a quiet stay (there's no real town there, only shop is at reception). Planner

Easter weekend we head to Tin Can Bay - video promo for Tin Can Bay Tourist park we will be staying at - pretty well booked out for Easter but there were some ensuite sites left so that's where we will be. We have friends who regularly stay at this park and highly recommend it. We will see how we go feeding the dolphins, fish and chips on the beach .....

When we moved to Maryborough in 1990, we would often drive/ride to TCB for lunch at the marina. Home sites around the foreshore were considered cheap, we even considered an investment property but couldn't afford the 150K for a waterfront . Then the first move in land prices & in came the developers, luckily (when I was last there) the esplanade had not changed much.

We will see how we go feeding the dolphins, fish and chips on the beach ..... We honeymooned at Rainbow Beach, back in 1996. Then you could feed the dolphins AND swim with them. We took the kids back about 5 years ago, you could still feed the dolphins, but very organised and definitely no getting in the water.

We honeymooned at Rainbow Beach, back in 1996. Then you could feed the dolphins AND swim with them. We took the kids back about 5 years ago, you could still feed the dolphins, but very organised and definitely no getting in the water. Spent the Easter break at Tin Can Bay Holiday Park. Forgot the camera and phone was having memory full issues so no pictures. We didn't try to see the dolphins - there were about 200 people in the line (maybe not that many - but a hell of a lot). Anyhow, the signs say no swimming because the dolphins are 'wild animals'. However, if you do pay to feed them, you get a discount on some of the menu items in the cafe (breakfast or morning tea for you , not the dolphins), and money is donated to the care of dolphins. Took a run to Rainbow Beach and on to Inskip Point. There were people, tents, campers and caravans in any spot they could make camp. Lucky the winds were strong and light showers every day so the midges were blown away. If you had a camp permit, you could stay there. If we go back to stay, won't be school holidays, Easter or Christmas - just too many people for me. No running mods to the van or any other problems this trip. Just a relaxing time away.

That looks like what all restorers, owners should aim for! A trip away to enjoy the trip, not spend valuable chillax time pondering what ifs or shouldaz...
