Well, judging by the trees, it's probably further north than I've iver been, so I'll wait for some clues. Is that a foot bridge in the background or a vehicle bridge?

That was my thought too, but there's no building near it with a boat like that - from the same viewpoint at Lakes, you would be in a car park.

OK. It's a new venue in SE QLD. I believe the Beach Boys played a gig there not long ago. Very popular place and family friendly with great views of the water. That should do it.

Ok, my sleuth work suggests the bridge in the background is the bridge to Bribie Island and you are in Bellara? I'm guessing you are all standing in the small boat that is out the front of the place that has a heap of hire boats sitting by the waters edge?
Or, is it on the opposite side of the bridge on sandstone point - at the jetty behind the Sandstone Point Hotel?

Yep, down at the jetty behind the Sandstone Point Hotel. Found this pic - looks like it was still to be finished off in this one.

G'day snoops, You're right on the money. Sandstone point pub. We were there for a birthday celebration. The boat is in front of the old boathouse near the jetty. The shed next to it is now called the Oysterhouse.
Great place to have a look at if your in the area. New playground for the kids. Over to you.
Cheers Bob.

You can hardly see the effect of the gale force winds, which I'm sure would've been blowing Gee, you must have had some interesting times down that way - that's the second time you've commented on the wind in the area. I love it down there - my Mum lives close, and the weather is beautiful most of the year - sure beats Melbourne weather that's for sure. Yep, this is a nice easy one and there would be 100 photos from this exact spot on the net - it is one of its best angles.

Gee, you must have had some interesting times down that way - that's the second time you've commented on the wind in the area. Holidayed that way probably 3 times, fished and hunted that way more often (granted it was usually winter), but every time WINDY. I've never been to the subject of your pic, but know of its existence. I'm with B&J, I'll stay silent to get a new player in the game.

Ah, thought you might have jinxed the place for me... It died down to be a beautiful evening on Saturday night - sitting on the deck of the Waterwheel tavern at Lake Tyers Beach knocking back a few pints while watching the world go by.
