Nice image. It is incredible how the Motorola mobiles can handle the exposure in difficult light. My Moto is an old one and was not to bad on the images that I have posted. The sky on the forest images, yours and mine are reasonable exposed compared to the shots that I have took with the SRL camera which needs grad filters for this situations.

Just across the Old Bass Hwy where the caravan park it is located there are no many interesting photo opportunities and only the nature light and some small fore front in the image justify to press the trigger

Eva, our Golden is going trough a coat change shedding incredible amount of hair which have made living in a caravan an "interesting" experience and not to mention eating al fresco. She found having a bath a good way to clean her coat.

Nth central & Nth west coast of Tassie are among our favorite destinations - along with Deloraine area. We often put our Viscount Nipper poptop on the ferry winter rate and slip over to Tas for a week or two. Sometime back (2002?) while down at Boat Harbor we spotted a little 3 bdrm fibro shack on the hill, just up behind the beachside kiosk, for $120K. It had a timber deck overlooking the beach. Could not believe our eyes! We rang the agent to arrange an internal inspection but he said there was a problem with access as he didn't have the keys and the owner was uncontactable somewhere on the mainland. He said he would get back to us asap but unfortunately we were booked to return to Vic in 3 days....we never did get a call back! Obviously Tassie RE agents live an entirely different life from their mainland peers? Opportunity lost - such is life! Ulverstone is a really nice town and so is Penguin - very quaint little railway line that cuts right through Penguin caravan park and the slow moving rattling freight trains sound like they are about to smash your caravan in half...Tassie, love it!

Just returned from 7 nights in Wallaroo (SA) for New Year. Anyone looking for a relaxing coastal town, that's not too far off he beaten track should check it out.
Once again the riverland area roads of SA were alive with classic vans, not so many in the caravan park though (one other Franklin and a nicely done Viscount). Hope everyone else had a relaxing and safe holiday break.

The Leagues club (who have most of the top shows) make half their annual revenue in that week!! Most surrounding towns are also booked out for accommodation, the bus service was efficient, all retailers I spoke to had a great week. Yes it was bl**dy hot (42/4 on Fri) but the beer was good. Hard to believe Elvis would have been 82 last week. Our site at Spicer Park

Speaking of 40-43c heat the owner where i am hanging out decided to lop everything. So over the 2 big heat sessions got to discover how good life has been. The North fence trees stopped heat until about 12:30-1pm... now heat stars at sunrise = grr. Running two fans i kept it a pleasant 26c but this weeks couple of days with overnight temps of 31c meant it had 3 days of 30ish inside the Franklin for the first time.

Back then the Wel river was one of the best places for precious stones. The Coal Hill have only semiprecious ones. Remember that you have to get the licence from Service Tasmania. I have some of the gear.

You dont need a licence for prospecting in the designated areas. Just rock (punn intended) up and give it a try. Yes looks like the north of the state has more options, again!
