Hi Ross 81, Welcome to the Classic forum with your question. The brand you suggest is unknown to me, performance usually depends on preparation & the surface the product is to adhere to. But I can recommend: Global cote link
I used it on the roof & the front of our Viscount, we did remove all the previous powdery paint, but it went over tape & aluminium beautifully , about $180 for the kit. Feel free to post some images, link , If you have difficulty email to me saleskeyband@outlook.com Cheers Mustang

If it hasn't had the j-rails resealed best to do that first then use an outside sealant otherwise it may not fix your leak or just be a temp fix . As Mustang said prep is the key

Yes, I have used the Crommelin waterproofer on my previous vans joints and J rails - works very well FOR A QUICK FIX - BUT - 2 things to consider. First is that it doesn't last forever - I got around 4 years out of it before it started to crack and need re applying. Second is that it is thick and doesn't look good, but if you need a quick waterproof job on the roof where you won't see it, it will work.
If the van is a keeper and you want to do the best job I probably wouldn't recommend doing this - if it's an old shitter that just needs to be kept water tight for a few more years, then yes.

Hi has anyone used the VersEseal waterproofing system for sealing their van roof? They company is based in Qld and website has 5 star reviews? We are getting close to sealing and as our old girl will be a guest room I need longevity. Thanks

As a guest room I take it the van will be exposed to the elements, RV would be my priority, when i restore another van I will not hesitate to use Global cote.

With Crommelin what products did you use? Did you use a primer or just the exterior paint? Did you use the fabric stuff over joints? New to all this!
