After the horrible fires, we had 40mm of rain last night, hope it was far enough inland to quench the Lockier Valley.

The park underwent extensive renovations & was taken over by Big 4 a couple of years ago, bought a lot of people to town. The land is surrounded by high rise so the developers win again, no consultation, just eviction notices.
With the Bruce Highway improvements, Caloundra is now considered commuting distance to Brisbane, easy to let a high rise full of expensive units, rather than $40/60 a night for a caravan site.
Same thing happened to the beach side park at Mooloolaba, it is now a car park, go figure, it had very high occupancy.
A book I have by Keith Winser shows how many beach side parks have been resumed over the years, seems like hundreds.
The Sunshine Coast with a super large hospital, university's, great beaches, one hour to an International airport is indeed a very busy place now. Cheers
