I've just purchased our families caravan from 1977 that has been owned by others for the past 10 years! Long story but I was very sad to see it go and came across it just recently and decided to buy it back and keep in the family. The van has the fold down double bed at the front, side dinette and four rear bunk beds. Unfortunately, it needs some work. The prior owners removed a rear cupboard to make way for an air conditioner and I'm keen to reinstate a cupboard and get it back to original and the roof vents are cracked and need replacing. I'm interested in replacing it to have it looking original rather than installing a four seasons vent. Can any of you recommend where to look for vintage/original items, people that make replacement parts, etc? The list of items required is long but please let me know what you have on offer and how much you would like for it. Thanks. Hi Franklin77, Welcome to the forum, & well done on your re-purchase. Your requests are fairly broad, with out the use of images or specific questions your pleas will go un-answered. Try to load some images for the forum to view, then I suggest you will get some answers. Try this link linkOR Imagur/Photobucket/tinypic etc. I personally use Imagur. Cheers Mustang

Welcome along, I’m very partial to Franklins so looking forward to seeing what you have and what you need help with - as mentioned a picture says 1000 words so a few pics of what you have and what you’re looking at fixing would make it easier for us to assist. 👍😊

the vents may be able to be repaired with fiberglass or a strong glue depending on how bad they are. finding an undamaged cupboard may be a challenge so keep an eye out in the forums Facebook etc you may lucky or you may have to make up your own you may find a laminate close to the color of your interior you can glue to a 3mm ply.

There was a guy here 3D printing badges but not sure if he was doing the one you’re after. Will see if I can find the thread on it.

Many Thanks Vicky Check out this thread - ditzygypsy.proboards.com/thread/4520/replicated-60s-70s-viscount-badges - there’s a Franklin badge in there - is that what you’re after? Not sure if he still makes them but worth a shot.

Make sure you post a pic of the van with it on when you get it. 👍
