I've just purchased our families caravan from 1977 that has been owned by others for the past 10 years! Long story but I was very sad to see it go and came across it just recently and decided to buy it back and keep in the family.
The van has the fold down double bed at the front, side dinette and four rear bunk beds.
Unfortunately, it needs some work. The prior owners removed a rear cupboard to make way for an air conditioner and I'm keen to reinstate a cupboard and get it back to original and the roof vents are cracked and need replacing. I'm interested in replacing it to have it looking original rather than installing a four seasons vent.
Can any of you recommend where to look for vintage/original items, people that make replacement parts, etc?
The list of items required is long but please let me know what you have on offer and how much you would like for it.
Welcome along, I’m very partial to Franklins so looking forward to seeing what you have and what you need help with - as mentioned a picture says 1000 words so a few pics of what you have and what you’re looking at fixing would make it easier for us to assist. 👍😊
the vents may be able to be repaired with fiberglass or a strong glue depending on how bad they are. finding an undamaged cupboard may be a challenge so keep an eye out in the forums Facebook etc you may lucky or you may have to make up your own you may find a laminate close to the color of your interior you can glue to a 3mm ply.
