Hi all, This is Gracie, she's more disgraceful than Gracie at the moment, but she'll get there. I've never done a caravan reno before, so I've already been trawling through the forum here picking up tips. I'm currently redoing the inside. The lining, flooring, roof, bunks, draws, cupboard, windows etc are all in pretty bad shape. Couldn't find a replacement for the lining board (Gunnersens have discontinued it) so I'm painting it up. Would prefer to keep it as original as possible though. So hopefully not too many more compromises have to be made.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your resto. There are lots of helpful people and lots of good information available on here and on the Vintage Caravan forum.
cheers Nick

G'day moolk,
What exactly was the lining board that Gunnersens have discontinued?? They still seem to be listing their "Paper and Polyester Overlay Plywood" products here.
There's a 'Caravanners Forum' thread here that suggests Uptons ( website ) is a good supplier at cheap prices (if you live near their one of their outlets).
Australian Laminators ( website ) also make panelling for caravans.
So do the SAS Supplier Group ( website ).
Lots of options if you search "caravan interior wall panelling". Depends on how deep your pockets are, as to what you could use.
cheers, Al.

Hi Moolk, We used ply as close as possible from "The Bunker". There are actually 3 x colours in our van, but not noticeable. Your original project seems a good start. Vincent was rotting away in a paddock. PS We will now shift your thread to "Hall of Fame" Cheers Brent

Hi Pisces, thanks for all the leads. The board is a very light woodgrain overlay, with a brown based. I'm not sure of the name but have been told that Gunnersens discontinued it. I've found a very similar laminate in Laminex Milkwood, but not sure I want to fork out the $$ for Laminex panels, although with three small kids, it's tempting for the durability.

Hi Moolk, welcome to the forum. I'm currently restoring a '73 Viscount Ambassador named Amber. 70s Viscounts are still very popular so you'll have no problem finding answers to any questions you may have. I have a detailed build log for mine here - caravanersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=66424 if you'd like to check it out. Progress is very slow but I'm getting there, my little York has been taking up more of my time lately.

Welcome to the forum! Exterior looks great. Any interior shots so we can see what you’re up against?

These photos flattered the interior, this is how it looked when I picked it up. Have had to remove the bunks and replace the support as there had been some water damage. Will be replacing the roof panels too due to water damage and I've begun painting the panelling. in lieu of finding a suitable replacement. Will take some shots of the current state of affairs next time I'm inside it.
