Hi all.
Im after some ideas/advice about my 2 way gas elec Electrolux fridge in my 75 Franklin Arrow.
Has had a repair about 8 years ago ( according to sticker on the back)
Cools perfectly on 240v, but only barely cools on gas.
Has been fine up till now and van is level
The coil on the back is only just warm..
Flame is nice and blue....
Any ideas ,

If the fridge cool on 240v then the Absorption Cooling section is OK.
These gas /Electric usually work better on gas than 240v.
Possible Causes for the gas to fail to cool properly: Gas may be blocked Jet (Clean Jet), Misalignment of the burner (reposition the burner) Low pressure from the gas Regulator (Replace Regulator). If the regulator is several years old Replace it anyway, bit hard to test without the correct tools (Water Gauge). The gas line has some restriction. If the Regulator has a braided flexible hose these are known to fail. If you have a Gas Stove and it s working fine (all allowable Burners at the same time) If the problem is the T off section of the copper pipe it may be damaged of even the cut off tap may be blocked/partially closed.

Thanks Rattles.
Great info. I'll dive in on the weekend to see if i can trace it
(I did fit a new regulator after the reno about 3 years ago.....)

The regulator rules now state the regulator must be positioned higher than the inlet. (This is because the crummy gas we were sold over the last few years was contaminated with oil)

Yaaaay ! Fridge is working again on gas ! Shoved the air nozzle down its throat, and after a couple of goes it cleared itself. Had a bit of fine rust around the jet etc. Glad i didnt have to pull it to bits as id have to pull the fridge out to get the gas line off the other end... Froze the icebox in about 2 hours on setting 3. Hopefully its fixed upon next lighting.

Freezing in 2 hours is wonderful, I start Vincent's fridge 2 x days before we use it. Cheers
