Am currently restoring a ACT camper and have built a new roof using PVC core board 18 mm thick thinking that it would be a lighter option. Wrong. Have just cut out panels to reduce weight (30 kgs ) but still having problems lifting it. My question is — do you lift the rear first and secure then lift the front or is it supposed to elevate on its own at the same time. Have been online with the rebuild on intentsoffroad and have purchased some gas struts to try. The original springs are still there but thinking they may have degraded over time. Any thoughts or info appreciated. Cheers. Pete
