I’m picking up my 1977 York tomorrow (currently unregistered, appointment with VICROADS on Thursday). Towing from Ballarat to Seymour, Victoria (have permit). Was hoping to insure before I commence maiden drive. Can anyone recommend an insurance company? I rang AAMI and they won’t insure older than 30 years.

CIL should be able to cover it as should Shannon's - Shannon's won't cover much as far as the interior goes as far as theft but that shouldn't be an issue for what you need.

Probably too late now, but I have three insured with RYNO. I have had a claim, excellent to deal with. Cheaper than Shannons. |

I’m with NRMA - excellent to deal with, inexpensive really for the peace of mind.
