Today I found out that “Boblor” (Bob Taylor) passed away yesterday.
He was a member of this forum, the Vintage Van forum and others. He was an Olympic caravan enthusiast, very knowledgeable on them and a passionate Olympic Caravanner. He battled some significant health issues despite this he travelled extensively in his Olympic.
Rest In Peace Boblor.

I only met Bob once at the Nationals, there was always a group of members around his van.

My father had an Olympic van and met Bob a few times ( I only knew him via this forum )....he was a big help to Dad re Olympic issues, and even lined up a buyer when it finally came time to sell. He was just so passionate and knowledgeable about the old fibreglass Olympics - I wonder whether anyone else will take up his mantle. A great loss to the world of classic caravans, and particularly our knowledge of the make. Rest in Peace Bob - MR. OLYMPIC .

I was lucky to meet Bob at the SA caravan and camping show. We have lost a great figurehead for Australian caravans and a walking encyclopedia about the Olympic brand.
May every hour be happy hour and a chinwag! R.I.P. Bob.
