Below are some photos of our 1972 Travelhome Deluxe. We also have a late model Jayco Freedom but as we are into the old car scene, we decided a couple of years ago to do up an older van to take to events. We were lucky to have family who had the Travelhome and no longer wanted it so after a bit of preparation and some new tyres and lights, we obtained a permit and took it home. I have included some before and after photos. It had minor wood rot which was repaired with builders bog, windows were resealed to hopefully prevent further leaks and a new axle with electric brakes was put under it. While I prepared the chassis for a coat of paint, Kaye was busy preparing the inside for paint. She also made new curtains and cushion covers. We also had a new awning made up for it. The only concession to something modern is the new Dometic 80 litre fridge as the old Morphy Richard was not able to be repaired. Hi nickd15, Welcome to the forum & congrats on posting pics first up & in the correct area.
Seems we may have missed your reno as it appears all done, very nice van, the first I have seen by that brand. The colour co-ordination to the Chev looks super sweet.
I would like to know how you keep the above sliding doors closed while travelling? Cheers Brent

Hi Brent,
the wooden one are quite firm so they are no problem. The perspex pair where the crockery is move easily so Kaye made a couple of loops with elastic and fixes them to the adjoining cupboard handles.
cheers Nick

What a lovely little van - looks like you've done a great job. Don't mind the new bits, I've put heaps on new stuff in mine but it retains the feel of the original van. 👍
