My partner and I saved this beautiful lady from a scrap metal yard yesterday. Charisma by Sarah Poppins, on Flickr We are already so desperately in love with her and can’t wait to start her refit and make her our own. Charisma by Sarah Poppins, on Flickr Charisma by Sarah Poppins, on Flickr Charisma by Sarah Poppins, on Flickr We believe she’s a 1971 Viscount 16ft Honeymoon Special, but would appreciate confirmation of that. Her chassis number is currently unreadable to me, but those in the know may be able to work it out from this pic. Charisma by Sarah Poppins, on Flickr Let the fun times begin!

Great find! Looks like a 69 model or thereabouts? If you can't decipher the chassis number on the drawbar check under the table for a penciled production line mark, or it maybe hidden inside a cupboard or drawer. Cheers, Arthur

Looking at the interior pics looks like the old girl has been through a flood? Hope it is an ally frame.
Look forward to the restoration pics.
Cheers Bob and Jacqui.

Looks like an interesting van - as mentioned, maybhave been for a dip in a flood at a caravan park ormsomething at some stage. Should be an ali frame - it looks very similar in construction to mine and has the same stripe scheme, but in blue rather than yellow. That scheme was used from around 69 to 72 from what I gather, so 71coukd be right.
Look forward to the restoration.

She has the older Viscount Duralvan decal so earlier than '71, the chassis number is on the side of the drawbar where you're photo is from above, I could be way off but it looks like A7908 (I think) making her from 1969. As Arthur said, check under the table etc for a date written as well I read somewhere that the black lines under the flashing means she was an up-market Viscount.

looks good maybe after a good clean it could be a repair rather than an all out total rebuild. Any rotten timber try to take apart carefully to use as templates and it is better to use ply as a replacement for chipboard and MDF as both will suck up water. There is a lot of info here and on sealants there are a ton of products just read up then make up your mind which you feel better using as each has is pluses and negatives. If you go though mustangs build on Vincent another Viscount there is a lot of tips. link all the best with the build hope there are no unwanted surprises.
