Hi All, I have just joined the forum. I am about to pick up a 1970's York Caravan. I have already been to inspect it and couldn't find a VIN or chassis number. I know that some older vans had the chassis/vin number written in 'weld' numerals on the draw bar somewhere, but I couldn't see anything on this York van. Any info and photo's of where I might find the chassis/vin number is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

It's usually on a plate welded to the drawbar next to the jockey clamp or maybe behind the clamp

depending on age it should be if it has the original draw bar welded directly on to draw bar or welded onto a plate that is then welded onto draw bar or a tin plate that has the numbers pressed in that is pop riveted onto the draw bar all of this is usually on the passenger side.
