While in the painting mode, the rear wash room got a face lift as well......... Now the Thomson's all most scrubbed up and ready to sell as soon as the "Boss" replaces all the curtains that are being washed at the moment.............

man o man.. what a job removing the collection from the ceiling. How long did it take you to collect them?
How on earth did you go about removing them?
The inside looks tops.. Bit of a pity to have to sell it..

G'day Bobt, Some of the Stickers were on the Thomson when I found it , I would say they were originally from Scotland and England and were probably stuck there when it first came out to Aussie in the early 80's or maybe late 70's, The rest of the stickers were added by us from just about every town we have been through on our travels over the years, they look pretty good in Jean's scrap book collection now, and will remind us of the trips we've done for a long time. The problem I had when it came to removing the stickers, was that these stickers had been masked over and then the ceiling was repainted several times over the years, When I removed the stickers, using a light touch of the heat gun and the razor blade with a good helping of Turps, I found I had a real step in the paint that had to be sanded well back to remove the stickers impression, Talk about a sore heck by the time it was done. Yes it does seem a pity to have to sell the Thomson, I've owned it just over 5 years now, and as most of you guy's know I've spent countless hours and money on it over this time. So I am not going to give it away and the person who does buy it will have to be someone who will appreciate the van for what it is.....very rare ( believed to be the only one in Aussie )and only 1 of less than a couple of 100 left in the world. Luckily I am in a situation where I don't have to sell it, except for pressure from the "Dear One" who wants more Sun-light on the garden, so, if the Thomson doesn't sell for a reasonable amount I'll just hang on to it and use it again in the future. As I've said, if Ya want it Bob, I will deliver it for Ya ;D ;D
