Hi All
My turn???
I like Peters with the Viscount, not so sure about either of the cars. It does need to be a suitable period. (I have no prefernce to holden ford or valiant) To me the focus needs to be more on the caravan. The cars stand out too much.
How about a drawing instead of a photo?
I will take 2.

marvellous job by peter. i have a thought (just tell me if i should keep it to myself - too late). what if we had a 'rig' like reply 6 on the left side and a 'rig' like reply 30 on the right side with a person waving out each back window at the other as they pass. the classic caravan sign to the bottom where there is more room and above it some sort of slogan that inspires others to 'join this happy, friendly group of vanners' thaaaats all folks. phil.

hi peter. that was quick i meant the van & car on the right to be going on the same angle as it was in your previous post (traveling left to right). (probably illegal to poke the arm out the window anyway). phil p.s. don't waste time on my ideas (unless you have nothing better to do-like getting into the coronet-which looks marvelous, by the way)

Hey Gents This thread seems to have lost a bit of steam Question is ..... who can and will print some stickers? I'll take two like peter's post no35 ..... top sticker..... Or a similar with an Olympic just to be different Yes I know I said it needed to be an aluminium van.... But if we are doing really really small batches.... why not a personalised sticker Cheers Atog

Went hunting through the local "Office Works" today, looking for some suitable paper, sticker type. I didn't find any. But for that matter the local one is a smallish store so I will have another look in a bigger store.
Thought I might be able to find something suitable to print on...stick it out in the weather and see what happens..
Was some one going to pm Mark and ask where he gets the vintage ones printed?

Oops...thanks for reminding me! I've just raced over to the Vintage forum and sent Mark T a message asking what the minimum number required for printing is, and how much to get, say, 100 printed. Coupla days and we should have that info. cheers, Al. Separate story, but kinda related...I bought a new printer the other day, and got a bonus deal of $100 worth of printing stuff, which I've sent the claim away for. I'm still awaiting delivery, but in the pack are some transfers that you can print on and then iron them onto a T-shirt. I thought I might have a bit of a muck around and get Peter to send me a high res copy of the final sticker design, so I can have a go at putting it on a T-shirt. ...Might just end up making another paint rag...

Hi Phil. Do you mean some thing like this. Peter Hi Peter Sticker design looks great. Of course you have chosen a perfect towcar. We don't own a big Viscount anymore but in the early 80s we had one just like that we lived in. We have a Franklin Popup now. I hope I get a freebee for the use of the car image!!! Cheers Mal

Ok, the word back from Mark T is that it cost him $243 to have 100 stickers printed a couple of months ago. Soooo...that comes out to be $2.43 per sticker. Does anybody have any connections with someone in the printing industry? I might see if I can track down a bloke I used to know who set up a printing business somewhere in my neck of the woods. Have we agreed on which version we'll go with, so I can print it out and see what I can find out about costs, etc??? [Maybe having a Millard in the photo would make it cheaper...? ] cheers, Al.

I went back to Mark T for a bit of clarification on the price he paid recently. The $243 was for a reprint run of the original design that the printer already had. Mark can't remember what it cost for the original print run because it was a few years ago. But for us it would mean it will be more expensive to get them printed because we'll have to pay to have the design set up first, before any can be printed off. I'll still go ahead and make some enquiries locally to see if I can find someone who knows about this sort of stuff, and get a quote or something.
cheers, Al.
