Hi everyone, I have just bought a '78 millard series 80. I was wondering where I should be looking for the model number and GVM?
I have looked on the A frame, there are 3 gas plates, but no trailer plate. I also looked on the inside of the door- there is a tyre pressure sticker, but that is it.
Any more ideas? Thanks, Adrian

Weight information wasn't put on caravans until Vin plates were introduced in 1988. You might find it on rego papers but it might not be that accurate. If you can go over a weighbridge with no water in your tank or gear in the van, that should give you your tare weight, general rule of thumb from there is to add 300kg to get ATM for single axle, 400kg for dual. If you know what weight your axle, wheels etc can carry, you might get a higher ATM from that. I think you deduct tow ball weight from ATM to get GVM. Shelley

Thanks, Adrian Hi Apantz, Welcome to the forum. Images are priceless, there are tutorials at the top of most pages. Feel free to open a page about your van in "Hall of Fame" Generally if your frame is original there is a welded number near the tow hitch. CheersBrent
