I have a 1986 Olympic caravan and is fitted with black sliding windows. These were popular for this era. The problem is that window latch does not hold that well and the windows open while driving along. I have small clamps that clamp to the frame which holds them shut, but I would rather the original latch work to hold them shut. I know the windows are outside the classic era, but has anyone had any experience working on the latches on this type of window?

Sorry Warren too modern for me. Perhaps another solution to the original catches not working would be a piece of square trim placed in the channel
