My in-laws have asked me to post this here in case somebody is after a project or sleepout. I have a 16 foot early 70s Coronet caravan that is looking for a new home.
It is located between sale and Seaspray in Eastern Victoria. The property is 15 km from the sea so there is surface rust at least in the chassis and drawbar. A quick look at it shows that I believe it may be okay, but I make no guarantees here.
The tyres are obviously stuffed, and the axle is in unknown condition. Ideally it would need to be taken away on a tilt tray or large trailer, but with the hubs regreased and new tyres, it may be towable though I probably wouldn't want to do an interstate run with it.
It was towed here 15 years ago and has been used as a sleepout for my kids when growing up and visiting the farm and more recently my mother in laws sister when she visited. She has sadly just passed and this caravan is now surplus to requirements.
The interior is complete and in reasonable condition for its age. The gas stove and two way fridge were working when last used but this was over 10 years ago so no guarantees here either. There is water damage near the back window, and water damage around the four seasons hatches although most of this has occurred before the van was bought here as it has been stored under cover since it has been here. Please see the photos when I get them uploaded. I am unsure of what the frame is made out of as there appear to be wood screws holding the siding on, but no screws holding the interior panelling on so I assume it's glued on the inside and at a best guess is probably a timber frame.
I'll post some pictures when I have better Internet coverage. Please contact me via PM if interested.
Cheers - Gavin.

Sorry for the delay in getting the pics up. Please see below. Van is still available. Would be good to see it get a new home as it could be scrapped if no one want it. Looks in reasonable condition Snoops, should be a bargain for someone. Would be a shame to see it scrapped.

Yes, it would make a good resto. Apart from the water damage at the back shown in the last pic, it is in good condition overall. Next time I'm down there I'm going to pull the wheel hubs and regrease them. I think with new tyres it would be towable.
If anyone is remotely interested I may be able to assist in getting it fully mobile for them.

Cheers Brent Yes please - happy for it to be advertised anywhere, but I'll answer Pauls enquiry first as he's first in. I've got it listed now on another forum I'm on for $400 ONO but anyone from the Vintage or Classic forum can have it for free.

Good for you. If its cleaned up & rehoused under a roof, then not much work involved for a free room.
