We only have two tyres on our van so it is now nice to know how they are behaving with tyre pressure & temperature. Each tyre now has its own alarm for low/high pressure & high temperature. This kit retails for $465. ($430 delivered with a booster if you quote a senior, no card required) Can be hard wired or 12v plug. I now feel comfortable zooming Vincent down the freeway at 100kph. Better to get off the road with a tyre deflating rather than blowing out!!

Agree with you on fitting those, we ended up using the six of them on the car(4) and the caravan(2), took a while to know what was happening, the co-pilot monitors them. Saved us from a tyre that developed an annoying leak on the van about 2/3rds into our trip to Victoria, were able to monitor it and just top it up when we stopped for a break each time. It was easier to top it up than change which was a last resort, as there was nothing out of the ordinary and the tyre had only done about 500kms. Never found out why it was losing air, ended up putting a tube in it, but the monitor did a good job for us, now we carry spare batteries for the bit on the wheel, the batteries seem to last about 18 months to 2 years, but some are better than others. On our system learning how to set the maximum and minimum pressures took some mastering.

First time out with this unit has proved a comfort.
The trimming of tyre pressures takes a little time. (I will be checking one on the vehicle for a screw as it is inconsistent.)
The caravan tyres were the easiest, a gain of 7lbs suggested I was 2lb under when cold as they should only increase about 5lb. I'm now starting cold at 42psi & they should climb to 47psi.
