I'm going to reload my images to the Vincent thread, how do I delete the PB image? I guess I start a new thread, copy & paste the text & add new images from Flickr, when done delete the entire old thread? If I understand the question correctly - edit the existing Post, switch to BBCode and you will see the current image code. Compare with the new image code and just replace that portion of the code. Switch back to Preview to make sure it worked and if all OK, save it. I'll re-edit this in a moment to show the PB image code example. example of the existing code you will replace for each image: [img-alt="Version 1" src="http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f362/zippoVF/VF%20Caravan/20160928_213848_zps9n45ayoi.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"] the alt="Version 1" is the text that shows before the image actually loads - may or may not be included with the new link you paste in. (I also changed the link above so it won't work and should still display the link text) OK - little bit more: From the Flickr post: 2 Right click on the image & you will see a choice box. 3 Select “copy image address” then leave the site. 4 From the Classic Caravan Forum task bar choose “insert image” 5 When the box appears use “Control V” buttons, the image will appear. What you will do instead (as you are editing in the Forum BBCode page)1 - in Flickr - 2 Right click on the image & you will see a choice box. 3 Select “copy image address” then leave the site. 4 Go to the Classic Caravan Forum BBCode page 5 Look for the image line you want to update 6 Highlight the complete text for the image to be replaced - highlight everything from [ to ] including the brackets 7 Use “Control V” buttons to replace the existing text with the Flickr link text 8 Swap back to Preview to make sure the operation worked. Really all you are doing is manually inserting an image on to the page by overwriting the existing image link. |

Thank you for the reply, unfortunate you are dealing with a baby boomer...no idea where the BB code is or how to get it?
How do I switch to BB code?

You can only edit your own posts - go to one you want update the photo link in. Click on the edit tab (this how you edit to fix up typo's or add an after thought)When the new screen opens, you can type or change the text BUT the pictures are displayed. Look for 2 tabs (bottom left of the edit screen) Preview and BBCodes. Click BBCodes and the edit view changes to the code that makes the web page. Do the copy link thing in Flickr and come back to the edit page. Highlight the line or text to be replaced and do the Control V to overwrite the existing text. Swap the view back to Preview (click the preview tab) to see if you got it right. If you did continue getting links and pasting them in to the BBCode page (and previewing). Don't forget to SAVE your work or it will all disappear and page just stays as it was.
If its just all to hard - your original method of a new page, copy and paste text from the existing page, add the image links using the Insert Image works as well. Just blow the original away when you have the new one created and fully tested. The bit you can't do is copy across the additional posts by other authors BUT you could copy those comments in and make the story line flow ..... messy but it will work.

I just had a lightbulb moment. Nothing to stop you using the edit feature to fix the current page by going to each PB image, click the image to get it highlighted, delete the image and then use the Insert Image tab to insert the Flickr image in to the same location. Do them one at a time and save often. That updates anything you posted but none of the solutions will fix the images in quoted posts or where someone else posted a picture in your thread - they will stay broken unless the original author comes by to fix their posts. Not 100% but better than the PB busted images.

The sizes are different but I can work on that, at least the story will have some meaning.
I have just started on page one of my thread (Vincent the Viscount) & will do a few at a time.
I'am sure others will learn from your advice.
