Hello All, I have a 1973 Viscount Ambassador Dual axle that I am dismantling all parts. I am using the chassis to make a car trailer and I thought I would do the right thing and join here and offer all the parts for sale to anyone needing them for restorations. The Aluminium is the dimple type and is bare unpainted except for the 2 flashes. The front and rear are in great condition. the right side panels are good. The entrance door is missing and there is damage around the right hand door jamb. The window frames are good and most flyscreens are good and intact. Inside there are some good handles and panels but not all due to the ravages of time and neglect. Original mirrors, and light fittings less covers. Unable to post pictures due to computer lack of skill. Please message for pictures or more contact details. Cheers, Martin. ...and just to clarify for people, this van is the 1968 model, but parts may still be useful for Ambassadors built in the 1970s.
cheers, Al.

insert code here Agreed Al, A30-- makes her a 1968 Viscount Duralvan not an Ambassador by my collection of chassis numbers. If the chassis number was A3 followed by 4 more numbers, that would've been 1973 Ambassador but your pic in the ad clearly shows a 1968 Viscount Duralvan and the chassis numbers were a different system then - consecutive, nothing to do with year. Shelley Thankyou for the correct information. Would you please tell me what make and model a single axle caravan clad in the same dimple aluminium with a serial number starting with E then four numbers is please? Cheers, Martin.

No worries Martin.
E followed by up to five numbers would be a Viscount Ambassador from 1965-1970, can narrow it down with the first 2 numbers and a photo if you need - prefer to see which painted flashing it has as well as the chassis number to confirm.
