Hhmmm how do i add pictures There is a Flickr tutorial at the top of "General" & a Photobucket In "Hall of Fame". You can use any outside agency eg Tinypic, image shack etc. Yes you are in the correct section "Welcome" but images are needed for responses. Cheers |

Cannot see a number on the A frame the whole frame has had steel plate welded over it
Only item i have found inside with a date as i strip it is the oven sticker but the last digit of the date has been burnt

Hi Brett, bummer about the chassis number being covered and the oven sticker not giving up its secret! If you're stripping it, you may find the number written with a date behind a panel next to the front window so keep an eye out for it.  Triple louvre windows were used from 1971-77 so internal photos may be required to narrow down your year, though I don't know internal features, I think Captivenut does |

Looks about 1975 to me,electric brakes,colour stripe,panorama door,no galvanised chassis.

The ones I've seen have been on the door side next to the front window so the details of van appeared next to the front corner as they came down the production line.

for age I have no idea it might help some one to narrow it down more has it got four seasons hatch or hatches or a flat lid that pops or winds up. Is the sticker a plain millard sticker or has it got a rising sun.even the laminate colour inside can help with other things to age the van.
looks like the outside isn't too bad but if the draw bar has been plated have an expert look at it may be cheaper in the long run to replace it. have fun and welcome.

The dates were often written inside the wall cavity of the front wall panel before the cladding was attached. To view it (if it's there?) you will need to remove the external cladding or the internal panel....or contact superman?

Well success the Van is a Millard 1978 had the old rego plate for it and contacted in transport

If transport have the old rego records they should be able to give you the chassis number?

Yes have the year and chassis now will be welding it into the A frame

M49631 slots in around late 76 to early 77 on Shelley's list - more likely early 77? I'd tend to back the list over the transport dept?

Is it possible back then to have a caravan built around 76,77 but registered as a 78
