Hi All, After a two-year father-daughter project my Viscount Valiant (known affectionately -but not very creatively- as 'Val') is finished! She's off to get registered and is now ready for many more decades of attention and adventures. I've been coming here often to seek out advice and ideas, so thank you all for offering such a wealth of knowledge and information for a rookie like me. I've been keeping a blog about the process, and the my latest post has plenty of photos of the finished product. I have to say I'm pretty proud of it (even though I can't say I've stuck to the classic caravan original look!) and have learnt so much in the process. Feel free to check her out! adventurewithval.wordpress.comCheers, Maddie

Excellent reno - why can’t we just be awesome and not need to have it validated by strangers? look at it this way you have shown your impression of a classic van that suits you and has your personal touches this in turn inspires someone else who likes what you have done to do something similar to their needs or vision. Be proud of what you and your team have achieved as it is well done and looks good

That looks awesome. Same size as our Valiant by the looks but you guys got lucky with the double bed at rear (giving you more cupboard space). Ours had two singles at the rear I removed and built a double. Now I have gaps I need to fill in with my own cupboards/shelving. The plywood cupboard doors look really good!
