The rest of the song gives a possible answer...."Gone to graveyards everyone! When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?

Since I have been posting on this forum it appears to me the "image thing" is the most intimidating problem. We welcome members/guests on their first post & 98% of them never start a thread. ? The numbers of casual traffic is staggering, both here & Vintage Van. While VV appears to have more activity they are the same members offering the most help & activity. Highs & Lows the same as any business or interest, but I'm sure if the sites were able to host their own images, we would see a dramatic increase in members.

Hi Mustang, Yes it seems a lot of people want to know what year a van is without actually buying it,and when they find out they run away and buy something newer! I am on a lot of sites and I get pm asking about year and prices, when I tell them some home truths they run away never to be seen again! But then we have the ones that follow through and share their renovating here with us which makes it all worthwhileπ Cheers hughdeani

Mustang, I think you've nailed it. This site & the VV site may have an image problem?...digital image that is! I'm a member of both sites and enjoy reading the posts and contributing whenever I can but I loathe the concept of third party image hosting. I suspect many other enthusiasts are the same? Which is perhaps the reason why facebook caravan pages have become so popular - their fast image uploading capability and instantaneous responses from other members is a big attraction for the impatient world we live in. But we will survive! Cheers, Arthur

But we will survive! Cheers, Arthur I don't do Faceplant for mainly one reason. While you can get an answer quickly, the info is lost quickly to anyone else trying to find it. With a forum the info is saved and is generally easy to search for. You can't run a rebuild thread on Faceplant...

And yes, I'm still going with my Arrow. There were quite a few on here last year but most have finished their projects and dropped off the radar. Most people don't come back just for the social side of it either which is a pity as you can make great friends with fellow forumites. I've made heaps on AULRO where I'm a serial pest, I mean poster... Hopefully I'll catch up with some of you guys and your vans at some stage.

My Arrow is still going 24/7. Stationary site though, may do an adventure when the weather gets cooler.
Shelly put me onto bookmarks for facebook groups, makes it easy to find grouped tagged discussions.
