Hi everyone,
I am completely new to caravans. Can you please tell me, does a Franklin Hunter rate as a classic caravan? Is this the right forum for us.
I'm recently the proud owner of one and wanting to learn more about them.
When buying this caravan I wasn't actually looking for a restoration project, but I think I've ended up with one. Lots of unexpected leaks and water damage.
So, are they worth putting the time and money into?

Hi Emma, The Franklin Hunter when manufactured was a popular van, very forward for its time due to sandwich type paneling, however when a resto is needed due to water leaks the brand is quiet different to take apart. Here is a link link that I have borrowed from Vintage Vans (our sister site). It will give you an idea of what is involved. There will be a number welded on your drawbar near the tow hitch. Let us know what this is & we can determine the age, either Vintage or Classic, then set you up on the correct forum. Good Luck Brent

Thank you. It's a W series, not sure of the exact number as she is at Jacks for a repair quote. Thanks for the link.
