Ok all, I am seriously on the market for a viscount 18ft - 20ft. Being in Tassie means my option are limited as most vans have been relegated to on-site only. I am willing to travel to Vic. If you Victorians know of any, please let me know. Would hope to pick one up asap to allow time to fix before summer.
Cheers
Will travel to Vic and SA.

Went and saw a 20ft locally (kitchen at front model) and poor thing was absolutely ruined with water ingress. The ceiling above the bed, the walls and of course the rot under the corner windows. Everything had to be done to it, even the draw bar had rust that needed to be cut out. So unfortunately, another Viscount Supreme bites the dust

Hi again - I need some advice, pretty urgently. I have a Viscount that I can see, however there are questions I have regarding some elements of the van. I dont know much about Viscounts so would like someone to see some photos and give me some advice. I prefer to deal with this outside the forum for privacy reasons.
Can anyone assist me with a few questions and give me a 'reality check'? Maybe an email address so I can send pics and explanation?
Cheers,

OK, I am still looking. Loads of 20+ ft'ers out there, one in particular in Melb that I would of snapped up if it was 2 ft shorter! Let me know should you come across one pls!
Cheers,

Just got back from looking at another Viscount Supreme Royal, I think 20 ft. Well, it again was in bad shape, the roof in areas where actually split, and being that it is raining it dripped into the van (a bucket was used to catch the water. Its just so disheartening to see these old beautiful vans going to ruin. If I had a full size shed that could vit a caravan in, I may be tempted to take on a huge resto project, but that int the case.

Congrats Tasmilard! We can all ignore this thread and it will disappear or you can change the first post title to your new van & when moved to the hallway, have the entire history of seek and find, plus whatever is required for adventuring... pre adventure!

Looks like its a York. They have timber frames... Just to qualify: Only the very early Yorks have timber frames. From around 1970 onwards they had aluminium frames but may have some timber pieces in the roof. Cheers, Arthur
