forum for modern 'vans....

Hi Guys,

is there a forum like this for modern 'vans?  I purchased one of those avan aliners that has had one of the roof lift springs break free.  I figured I'd repair it and make some money out of it ( well hopefully I will...  boss women won't be happy if I dont LOL).   I can't find anything on the avans, so is there somewhere I can post a writeoup on how I will repair it ?  (I'm sure if this one is broken, many other will break in the same way... ).  If I can post some piccies, everyone else needing the same repair can reference them...  Oh anywhere other than the caravaners forum.   that place isn't worth wasting your breath on.

Oh .........  and of course, the whole issue as always seems to be the manufacturer didn't bother to seal the damn thing when they made it, so it's leaked into the walls from the day it was built

What about the Avan Club of Australia?? ( www.avanclubaust.org.au/ )

Would they have a section where you could post the details about the problem and the repairs you make?

I might have to try joining the caravaners forum again.... I'll probably be banned again within a week though as they'll decide I'm being dangerous or not legal by disconnecting the tail lights (or something similar ) over there. The admin over there sure are, er, "different"

I did find the avan club, but there is no publicly accessible info I can find there. You need to be a member. I'll post up some piccies on the caravaners forum so people can find them with a google search (even after I'm banned again. They seem happy to leave my stuff there even after they ban me again ... You see someone with common sense isn't welcome to post over there).

That forum sounds like some various boat/ cruising ones, thankfully there is an anarchy one, so folks can always catch up & link various reactions to "common sence posts"and the aftermath, around the interwebs. I am looking forwards finding a new caravan site as i am building mine & the various öpinions" along the way as it morphs from one form to the next in stages. The compromise of living in something and fixing/ constructing it :)Good luck with an easy repair then a good profit as reward Shane!
