Tasmillar, tassiechesney, and I together with another 2 friends in his van have a fantastic long weekend @ Picnic Point, Ulverston. The weather was magnificent making as wonder if we really was in Tasmania We have great time, I done some bush walking and tasmillar rowing in his kayak. The main section of the Apex caravan park is like a caravan museum with immaculate collection on vans circa late 1960 and 1970's Lot of Viscounts there. The Magna with the Franklin behind performed excellent and I am impressed how solid the Magna is with the WDH. We have the intention to meet Mustang but unfortunately it was a bit late for him to come to the camp about 4 pm. For sure there will be another opportunity. Here are some shots. The beach

Hey Folks
Looks like a nice spot to camp, you were lucky with the weather. Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves. That's what these things were built for..

Yes, it was a great time, the weather has been fantastic too. Next time the stay has to be longer as there is so much to see and do.

Perhaps on the Queens Birthday long weekend we can go to Dover. There is a nice scenery there, very nice for photography and rowing. I can take my dog as well.

An interesting link from VV Forum re Ulverstone. Every Easter we used to stay in the then caravan park that was next to the golf course right in town, its now a park. Ulverstone Caravan Maker link
