We have a great few days with Tasmillard at the Samander Sanctuary Caravan park. The caravan park it is clean with very good facilities and with walking access to the beach. We will be back. Scamander it is just south of the Bay of Fires and few km north of national parks. We took the opportunity to explore free camping sites and there are few on the lists for future visiting once we have solar power. I towed the Franklin Arrow behind the Magna and Tasmillar his Millard behind his Tdi300 Disco. I am very pleased with the Magna towing the 1250 kg van with 120 kg on the ball. The car performed like if the van was not there and used only 12.5 liters per 100kg which it is only 1 liter more of what it uses when not towing.

There's a nice camping area at Jeanneret Beach/Round Hill in the Bay of Fires, although it does tend to fill up pretty quickly. My parents have a block there, where their '86 Windsor pop-top usually lives. We keep our modern up there too. Its not a bad sort of a place. Tim

IMO, the bay of Fires have to be as close as paradise. It is a beautiful place with awesome camping spots with views that are out of this world. You have to come back next year.
