Many of us enjoyed ourselves so much at Evans Head in February that we have decided to return for an End of Year Celebration weekend on 25, 26, 27 November. In fact we enjoyed ourselves SO much, many of us are going for the week of 20-27 November! Casey at Evans Head Holiday Park, is reserving all the sites (except for 2 long stay vans) in the dog friendly area along the front facing the river, sites 640-655. She will only hold them for a few weeks so GET IN QUICK!!! Phone 02 6682 4212 & say you’re with the Vintage Vanners www.northcoastholidayparks.com.au/park/info/evans-headwww.northcoastholidayparks.com.au/park/map/evans-headJust click to download site map before you book Powered sites $33/night, Unpowered riverfront sites $30 Deposit is $50 There are no pensioner discounts. If booking is cancelled 7 days before, then deposit can be transferred to another date with no penalty or refund can be taken minus a $30 admin charge. We have booked the Kiosk (right next door to the area we will be situated), just for our Group, for our End of Year Celebration on Saturday evening, 26 November. If we have an idea of numbers closer to event, the Kiosk will add extra tables. As you can see from the following menu, the meals are simple but cheap, with added benefit of BYO within walking distance of vans! Closer to the event we can throw around ideas of dessert (Kiosk has great icecreams) & decorations/tablecloths etc. www.evans-head.com.au/riverfront-kiosk-cafe-menu/So I’ll say it again! Phone Park & get in quick for a great site in a fantastic location!

Bit far for me unfortunately. I will be heading through there in June 2017 on the way back from a camping trip a few hours North of Brissy I'll be heading to, it looks like a great spot to pull up for a couple of nights.

Mustang is in "Park" at the moment. Despite just throwing another $3500 at it (various repairs) it still will not start properly.
So its off to Maryborough to a friend who has built cars all his life. (He painted Vincent) There is a waiting list, he is building his wife a 1948 2 door Morris Minor with all modern Mazda running gear, did I say he is a genius???
He is tired of me complaining about the Ford, so has offered to get things right. (Early 2017) So we will be towing with the modern to Evans Head.

So sad Oh well I will fly the Ford flag with my old '61 Z I am surprised with you having drama with the 'Stang they are not noted for engine problems

Another great "Smiles" rager of a weekend, thank you for organizing. Some how we avoided the 70% chance of storms. The public again love poking their heads in the old vans, & I guess a few dollars dropped in the town.

Many thanks from SWMBO and I to the organisers for a great weekend only drama was we forgot the camera so thanks also for the pic's I would like a dollar for every pic taken of our old girl's at the weekend although we never took 1 Being the first in line and on a public access route ( our fault with a late booking ) we felt like we were on display with all the visitors with pic requests etc but it was nice to receive so many compliments we took plenty of food but never used any as there was such good cafe and take away available especially breakfast in the kiosk yummo
