Hi everyone, Hope you can help us identify the year of our caravan which we have recently purchased. We were told it was 1978, ad had it as 1974, and some of the fittings make us think it may be 1960s! So very confused. The chassis number is 368E. its obviously been painted on the outside, but inside is original.
Thanks in advance for your help Chris

Hi Chris, I've owned and restored 3 mid 60's Ambassadors and from what I can see in your pics the van is definitely post 1970. The cabinet handles, laminates on cupboards and benches and walls, and the fabric on the cushions (barkcloth?) have 70's written all over them! If you look under the table, on the back of the drawers or cupboard doors, etc, you may find a factory production line date penciled somewhere...this practice was not uncommon for Viscount and some other makers. But it's looking good! Cheers

Looks to have been loved , no major dings. As " captivenut " has suggested it's not 78 , ours is 77 & it's not that era , Our resident date expert Hugh will be along soon, whatever boy it's a good looking little rig . Of course it's a Viscount!!!!!

It appears there is little to do to this gem, may I suggest that the pole carrier looks a little bright & out of character. Personally I would paint it away with the lower body colour .
On Vincent I have made a wooden tool box & I will match with a wooden pole box ,just to keep the era correct.
