Hi everyone, I'm viewing a 1970 Franklin tomorrow and wondered if you had any sound advise on what I should be looking for? I know I need to check the A frame and chassis for rust but that's all at this stage! I was told if there is any rust to steer clear. Is this the case if the rust isn't too bad on the chassis? Thanks in advance for any advice. Linda

A caravan that's 47 years old will certainly have some rust, rot & another 100 things wrong with it. It's just a matter of how bad.
Most likely it will have a wooden frame if it's a 70, any evidence of moisture present will spell out major work.
If you are a novice by all means take a friend & keep emotion out of the purchase , there are plenty out there, that have had good renovations for not a lot of extra money. Good luck,
