Started on fridge vents. Have ordered flue kit and changed vent on access door to one with more flow. Will do top one when I sort out where the flue outlet will be positioned. Second pic is the old vent and the new top one. May match the bottom vent size yet.

Ours & not many caravans exhaust on the Left hand side, not ideal with an annex in place, it's ok if all the sides are open.

Finished the outside of the vents for the fridge. Just need to do inside part. Does anyone know why the black t piece is open on the back, was considering blocking it off.

If I remeber correctly, the t piece has a slight angle on it - the lower side is open and the higher side exhausts to outside. The idea is that the exiting hot air will draw in cool air from the lower end so the exhaust isn't as hot exiting the van.

Makes sense thanks snoops, glad you could tell from the bad pic. Had to make my own extension as the one sent didn't fit.

Even though my kitchen is along the front it seems my fridge is the same location in my 1975 Arrow. Very rotted timber section & you can see the collapse of buckled alum sheet side . Upside it has been stable & not got worse in the last 5000klm & time. This door vent thing an original & or late model 75 thing, or added later, do you guys think?

I've seen a few of these "doors" that are too neat for the average owner, perhaps they were an accessory.
When we had the gas re-established on Vincent the guy said "I need a removable panel to access the back of the fridge", after some discussion of me having to come back & annoy him again he settled for a flexible hose.

Yeh had to disconnect gas line to remove fridge and work in back of fridge area and get to the damn 12 volt wiring. Now cant reattach line as it wont bite on thread. I was very careful not to dethread it.All seems to line up and lip sits where it should. Had to walk away and will give it another go later. aaaarrrrgggghhhh!

Woo hoo, connected up fridge again. Had to pull out fridge, completely disconnect gas pipe from fridge and underneath van. Once I established it still screws on ok I reassembled this time keeping pipe loose by not connecting under van till I got it started on fridge. The bends just made it a nightmare for it to grab on thread. One happy camper, now for insulation and heat deflector. Also moved the power point from back of fridge area and moved it to near wheel arch in bottom cupboards. There will me an inverter in there if I want to connect to it.

Gave roof second coat of Apco heat paint and works a treat. Also helped with leaking in roof which no longer is evident. $170 for 15 litres is a good buy. Will do one more coat for good measure. Ps. what is it with native bees and fresh paint.

Lucky for me I didn't have to strip out the interior like some of the other guys. Just can't wait to get it up to the property to use.

Drove the van up to our property on the tablelands. It towed really well as I was concerned how it would go. Stuck to the road perfectly. The two dings on the top front stayed out that I had to fix earlier.

It is nice to have your own private camping spot. A type of carport with a rain water tank will be nice to have as well.
