We have a family tradition on Xmas day lunch, of going to a large local dam (Wivenhoe) and enjoying a feed of king prawns & seafood sauce and leg ham with fresh bread rolls and some cold drinks followed by a nice dessert - Mmmm ice cream !
This is followed by an afternoon nanna nap before popping over to the neighbours for drinks and greeting for the evening.
Cheers & Merry Christmas

Looking at the radar it appears that it is a narrow front so tomorrow or even tonight will be Ok.

Our current set up. Camping down the coast near Portland (Vic). Early Jayco Dove with a huuuuge home made awning. Our Franklin Arrow will replace the Jayco, hopefully by Easter

Our Franklin Arrow will replace the Jayco, hopefully by Easter Doves (and similar) are great little vans! Of all our vans at work the Dove probably spends the second most time away being used. For 2 guys there is plenty of space and you're at opposite ends from each other, only thing missing is a shower and loo The big paramount is a bit more popular because it has the shower and loo (and a fight over who empties it) The best one is a pair of 40' vans and a prime mover. Has accomodation for 6 in individual air conditioned rooms as well as a commercial kitchen, shower, toilet, laundry, office, satelite TV, Phone, and Internet. It carries 6000L of water and a 20KVA genset to run the various air cons and hot water services, fridges and freezers. The boys don't get to use it as often but I'm sure they wish they did :-)

Yeh we do love the little Dove, Sean, but with 2 long legged kids we've out grown it. No storage for the kids stuff either. We just wanted something that has plenty of storage and something that we could put a decent mattress in. The Franklin should suit perfectly

Sure is, Planner. ? Never stayed at Narrawong, but visited the beach many times. As kids we used to visit Portland often (in a 20ft Travelhome, that I would love to own now). We holidayed in Portland for New Year 2012/13 & 2013/14.

Christmas around home with families. Then 27th, off to Wallaroo on the Spencer Gulf, for a week or so. Had a great time in Wallaroo, good beach, great weather & friendly people. So good that we have rebooked the same site for next later this year. Would recommend the town and caravan park to anyone heading that way. The Arrow performed flawlessly again.

We are in NW Tas in a haze of smoke, never have I seen Tas with so many fires. Approx 50 fires remain mostly in inaccessible areas, showers are forcast this week, but the state needs RAIN!!
We are on the Spirit on Sat 35+ knots forecast, this will keep the tourists out of the bar.

Wow I will think of you when we get up and cook our BBQ breaky at Evans Head.
There's nothing like the smell of regurgitated Cornflakes first thing in the morning lol

are you doing the day or evening cruise?
I understand that Tassie is getting it pretty hard at the moment.. Lets hope they get some relief soon.

Only night cruise for this little black duck, bar, dinner, cabin, then....no that won't happen! Day crossings are so boring!!!!!!
Tassie on the coast is like a baked up burger, the smoke smell is in everything. We left Caloundra on the 19th of November & have had 2 bits of drizzle, at least the camper has no leaks.

I spent the weekend in Deloraine in Tassie's central north. All my clothes smell like I've been standing round the campfire. Its as dry as a nun's throat up there at the moment, but the forecast is for showers every day next week, so lets hope it brings some respite for the poor firies.
