Hi all.
Looking to replace the table top in my Arrow, as moisture hasn't been kind the chipboard over the years
Would love to keep the original laminate design, but realise this won't be possible.
Any ideas of what to use and costs ?
Im thinking white melamine 15mm ?
Pete

If you have the frame we re-topped with finger jointed pine, then added an aluminium angle to the edges for the retro look & protection. (Sorry best image I have)

I am planning to use marine ply on mine and perhaps laminate in with a Tasmanian timber veneer or Laminex Olympia Orange to match the stove

I'm even more boring. I use a very small fold up blow moulded plastic table from bunnings. Once we've cooked and eaten, we pack it up and put it out of the way - it gives us heaps more space to stretch out (when we are inside which isn't a lot) and to get dressed etc. When I get around to re doing the seat I'll be making it larger and more comfortable, so space will be even tighter there.

Hi gents. So good ideas there ! Just spoke with a caravan repairer that I know, and he is gonna sort out a melamine top 16mm for me. I did consider dumping the whole table in favour of a replacemant, but I quite like the original set up....
PS - Sean, who did the painting turn out ? I was able to buy 4L Gloss White Solagard up in Wodonga for $63.80 inc

We did the same, but as I had remove the table and seatings and replaced with a single bed we got ourselves 2 personal tables (blow moulded) from Oz Trail and they fit nice in the alloy tool box on the ute

I was able to buy 4L Gloss White Solagard up in Wodonga for $63.80 inc Getting there, will sand a few runs out tonight then whack another coat on early saturday morning. If everything goes to plan the van will be back together by sunday arvo. Not going to paint the window frames, worried they'll deteriorate out in the weather whereas the aluminium will never really change. I need to get it out of the shed at work to make space to park gear inside over the Christmas shut down so the window rubbers and stuff will be done at home. First trip will be leaving boxing day and heading for Canberra. Ordered on of these to get the van sitting a bit more level behind the Triton until the straight axle goes in: The towbar on the triton sits a bit high and the bum was a bit low to the ground
