I've just been given Millard M41320 registered in SA as a 1975. It was lent to "friends" of the former owner and came back trashed minus seat cushions, table and the front window awning panel. At some point it was also broken into and the screen door removed leaving behind the single hinged extrusion. Also the main exterior door panel received a hiding. Locks are gone. I'm after help to locate missing bits and pieces in order to restore this old girl. Cheers All. Shopping List: complete door (locks not necessary as I think they are still available) original style table front window awning This photo is of another van with the correct table and seat setup. Seats I can make, but the table I need. This is another van with the door I need. This is the actual van on stands while I sorted out new wheels. HK 14" that do fit with patience. Couldn't get 13" light truck tyres with the original profile height. The HK's with modern light truck tyres have the same diameter. Note signs of vandalism during breaking in, door and window. Got it home after a trip to the carwash. Appreciate any help given.

I reckon that door would be repairable, is the damage mostly just to the vent panel at the bottom?
I reckon a sheet metal place could fold up and punch some aluminium sheet that would replicate the profile reasonably well. Otherwise you could just replace the lower section with a flat piece with punched vents.

Other than that damage, you don't seem to have any other major hits. Nice little Classic.

Thanks for the replies Tim and Mustang. Most sheetmetal blokes I've met have eyes that start rolling dollar signs like an old one armed bandit. Not many with any sympatico for the restorer. It's the missing interior screen door frame that's the hurdle here and yes, the vents look like someone took a can opener to them. The folded panel is fairly dented as well. Seeing it's only alloy, I think I could make a simple folder to do the job.
We'll see, but in the meantime I saw a caravan business from the 70's advertised on gumtree last night, Vogue Caravans out at Waterloo Corner, SA. Went and met the owner John today and not only got a wealth of info and a lead to someone who may have a complete door, he also had NOS hardware of all the missing bits I need to make a table. All I need is to make a laminated table top and attach the fittings. Pearler!
He's got bits and pieces from the Classic / Vintage period that may help someone complete their project. A real old school gentleman who actually produced his own line of caravans under his Vogue label in the 70's.
Out of interest I'm going to search for aluminium extrusions and see what is still available from yesteryear. Might be reinventing the wheel but you never know what's out there until you look. Cheers fellas.

If you're out waterloo corner way then there are probably 100 sheet metal places closer, however there's one on O'Sullivan beach road where you turn down to the tip that I use for work.
Last thing he bent up for me was about 1/10th of the price quoted by the sheet metal place down the street from my workshop.

Hi Sean, would that be Lonsdale Sheet Metal corner of O'Sullivan Beach Road and Donegal Road?

It took me a while to find a good sheet metal place. I had to shop around a bit. I recently had a bit of aluminium folded up to match the profile on my parents Windsor. It was only a narrow strip that goes along the edge of the pop-top, and the profile was pretty simple, but it came out really well.
You're really lucky to be able to find someone with old spare parts. There's not much hope down my way.

That's them, nice blokes. Good to know Sean and thanks for the info. Tim, while I was out at Vogue, John mentioned Cararest in Adelaide was also a good place to source stuff. and Rattles, thanks for your generous offer of the grille, but the fellow John at Vogue put me onto about another door is working out well. It's not identical in style as it has a window, but size wise it's correct.
