Sold the YORK in 1991 for $3000. I had done a total bare chassis rebuild on the '57 Series 1 Landrover and I can tell you it was the worst ever tow vehicle for a caravan. No power, no brakes and hopelessly crude suspension.

Yeah, nice little Series 1, but yeah, I wouldn't want to tow a van with it.

Very nice combo, even if it was not the best combo. I had a Peugeot 504 (3 actually) and one that was canary yellow, should never of sold it.

The only car I should have kept was an FX an original 215 model (the very first) rust free, but no money & piss poor wages at the time.

I towed a 14ft poptop with my 504 but the rear suspension was a bit soft to take much ball weight. Tried load equalizer bars and succeeded in bending the towbar tongue

Cars I should've kept. My free 1954 Prefect,my $500 1970 Dodge,my $1000 HQ panelvan, my $500 XY Falcon, my $1200 HQ sedan. Geez, even my old VB Commodore is worth ten times what I paid for it.
