Is it me or is this great forum getting more activity... just noticed since I joined there more and more threads started, and more importantly, contributions to help out with advice. Hope this continues

It is good see the forum humming, isn't it. It is you and all the other members who make this a great place to come to so pat yourselves on the back. I hope we see more members now go away together on social trips and continue to use the forum even after their reno/s is done. Thanks to all the members for your support.
Cheers

Many members visit, seems like daily, hopefully we can entice the shy ones to contribute with their projects.

Hi Brent
How this warm weather for you ? It is very sticky here lately. We have a lot of members who regularly sign in and pop in to see if anything new is happening on the forum and 90% of those are members from our sister forum, I think they are just making sure we don't show them up or a barn find doesn't appear in our for sale section.
We are also starting to out rate our sister forum in Google searches as well so that is driving us new members and people chasing info. And Fb is paying off as well, with a few new members with vans joining us and posting . The forum has been geared or made to be more towards the "rebuilding" side of caravans/things and I don't intent to change that but I am going to try and drive the social side more and as other members get there vans into a usable condition, will try and get them to do some trip reports and share there travels.
So as we get closer to Xmas and people start thinking about going on holidays and maybe moving away from a camper trailer or tent - fingers crossed we see a heap more.
Cheers PS send some of your sea breeze, I dying out here

G'day Lawrence, Thanks for the link to the FB page. That 19footer at the top of the page belongs to Steve and Vi from Bribie. The pic is when it was painted in our front yard for previous owners Bob and Sharon in the old Merc. Cheers Bob.

Hi Lawence, Now the Imperial hotel in Gatton has burnt down, you will just have to drink at home. Low 30s here but pleasant, so pleased the van is painted. Cheers

I thought it looked familiar lol..the general public seem to lose there lollies over fibreglass caravans - maybe because the new vans are not made from it anymore. When you chat/see Steve & Vi, say goodaye for us.

Cheers They bought in pumpers from Lowood and Marburg plus a couple of rural tankers. That pub has had some interesting issue's over the last 6 months, it was reported it was not insured, I wonder if that fire has fixed a few development issue's
Your not wrong about getting your van painted in time - the weather looks bad for the next week or 2 with high humidity.

Yes. I think traffic here has increased substantially since I joined up - I now check in here daily and there is always something new to read.

facebook site has been well managed, whilst i dont mind fb sites im a bit old school and prefer forums. I never intended to have the Facebook page "too" active. It's purpose is to attach those who are on Facebook and let them know there is a forum for our beautiful, unique "Classic Caravans" and direct them to come onto our forum and hopefully join. And a number have which has been good. Each month I change the main photo on the FB page which seems to get people looking. I do believe your Dad popped in and left a lovely comment.
Cheers

Some "thread drift"rather than try to work out a correct thread title! At the 6 min mark some awesome Viscount & HQ tail wagging, plus detailed looks at the interior features from a TVC of that time ( 1979) youtu.be/ZEA2xojnO0o
