Hi dronny
Firstly welcome to the forum/group
You have a nice looking Viscount Royal there, and going on your chassis number and our museum records it is a 1976 year model see HERE
Will look forward to seeing your refurb.
Cheers

Awesome, another one being saved. I like to know where i can get a stone guard like you have in the first 2 pics. Are these still available?

Interesting similarities between your 76 & our 77. You may gain some info from our recent resto. link

Interesting similarities between your 76 & our 77. You may gain some info from our recent resto. linkYeah I read your build thread before I started and got some good inspiration. You were pretty much spot on the money when it came to the method for polishing the aluminum window frames. Painstaking work - it has taken me 3 weeks to do two windows and one door so far. The door came up really well but some of the window frames that were more exposed to the weather are fairly pitted and require lots of sanding. That being said the van is still in remarkable condition for a 40 year old van that has been out in the weather for the last 10 years. These vans really were built to last with quality materials. Vincent is a great looking van but I don't have that kind of money and time at the moment ... so my goal is to just get the van clean, registered and usable as soon as possible so I can start adventuring. I notice our doors are nearly exactly the same - did you ever find where to get the furry dust seal for the inner door? Also loved your bespoke toolbox.

Pretty neat van you go there. have a 1978 and find the old Viscounts the most sturdy built vans around. They are well made and great to restore. I painted some of my internal paneling but still like the dark brown cupboards. enjoy your van.
