Now & again you see a really late model Viscount (2006) were Viscount still going then? or would this be someone leasing the name? I remeber a few years ago Kedron had several labeled Viscounts in their Brisbane yard. This one seems in super condition. link

Hi Mustang
Mate Viscount was sold in the very early 80's (either 81/2) and not long after that the company was wind up, at the time of sale it was in great financial stress.
So no they are not original Viscounts

Col. Hi Col
There is a bit of info on our sister forum Vintage Caravans on who bought Viscount Caravans but I don't know if it covers through to the late 80's. Many brands from dozen's of different manufacturers that we see today have been sold on from the original owners. It is amazing how people put there faith in a brand "name" and don't realize that it is not built to the same spec as the original. 90% of your lawn mowers today are build overseas and then have locally known brand stickers applied once landed.
Cheers

I think you find it is a reincarnated Viscount after the fall of Gazel Caravans.
Ps you will notice I have a Millard Monsoon which is really a Gazel and sits between the Gazil Horizon and Infinity Models and was produced just before the fall of Gazel Caravans in the very early 2000's A well built Caravan, from reports the later Viscount's not quite as well built.
